Mike has practiced law at major regional and national firms, has successfully owned & operated businesses, and has taught undergraduate and graduate business law classes at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. Mike has a varied transactional practice, including mergers and acquisitions, securities work, venture capital, the formation and operation of joint ventures, complex corporate restructuring, and international business transactions. His clients include foreign companies, middle market companies, individual investors, and entrepreneurs. He has handled acquisitions involving assets in six countries and three continents and has formed and counseled small start-up companies. In addition to transactional and securities work, Mike counsels corporate clients and handles general business matters. His recent practice also includes advising clients on the intricacies of new compliance regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and has taken several of his public clients private.
